32 Years Proclaiming His Innocence, Floyd Caldwell is Released from Prison -- Not Bitter; Rather Eager to Better his Community
Thirty-two years after losing his life – and freedom – for a crime that he maintains he did not commit, Floyd Caldwell is ready to contribute to a community that looks different from the one he left behind in 1975.
“Comparing it now to then, I think Benton Harbor is on the rise,” Caldwell told the Benton Spirit Tuesday. “I see things happening. I see people moving in different areas where they did not live before, and so, that's a sign that something's really happening.”
